Education and Training Dr. Akdag is a registered psychologist with specialized training and expertise in pediatric neuropsychology.  She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at University of Massachusetts Boston with an emphasis in neuropsychology and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children’s Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.   Professional Activities Dr. Akdag has been on staff at BC Children’s Hospital in the Neurosciences Program since 2005.  At the hospital, she conducts neuropsychological assessments of children  with neurological illness or other medical conditions affecting the brain.  She also provides consultation to families and health care professionals regarding treatment planning and interventions for developmental, learning, and psychosocial problems. Dr. Akdag offers private practice assessment and consultation services.  She accepts referrals for neuropsychological and psycho-educational assessments and consultations regarding children’s thinking, learning, and behavioural functioning.                                                                         Professional and Academic Credentials Dr. Akdag is licensed to practice psychology by the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (lic.# 01759) and is a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association.  She holds an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of British Columbia.
